We need a historian!

Time conflict between playground safety and café expectations
  • Can we switch first grade to Thursday and second grade to Friday?
  • Can we piggy back on the café expectations schedule?
    • o Keep the same times, just switch days
    • Leave the cafeteria as though heading out to recess
    • Review playground safety
    • Teach/Review procedures for lining up to come in at the end of recess

*Hayley will make a new schedule with an overview for teachers. Copy on yellow paper and mark as REVISED

We need administration to speak for us at the first faculty meeting
  • Require representation from each grade level/team
    • Hayley will make a sign up/attendance sheet for the committee
    • Representation can be a rotation (as long as they are still accountable for attendance)
    • Push for consistency and whole school participation
    • We will share several clip charts with the staff to show variations
    • Hayley will distribute “Making Better Choices” slips and make them available in the teachers’ room
    • Make sure everyone has the Chris Biffle five rules
      • o Karen G. will give her copy to Hayley to distribute

Spirit of Underhill Awards
  • Annie will get more printer paper for the Awards
  • We will set up a new bulletin board to display the award winners
    • o Photograph the students at the end of the assembly to post on the bulletin board
    • o Set up bulletin board for all first and second grade teachers to have a photo slot for their award winner
    • o Have the “historian” email photos and student names to the Banner

Sunshine
  • Maryann and Caryl will provide staff with donation envelope
    • Suggested donation $20
    • Annie will ask Janet to keep track of donations

Karen Landsman will review Wiki management at the first faculty meeting
  • Suggest teachers bring their laptops so that they can try it out
  • Karen will upload the minutes from each meeting to the Wiki
